1. The Spiffing Squires
The Spiffing what?
Once upon a time, there were a pair of posh, public schoolboys from England (Damien Rickwood and David Reynolds, Esq.) who had one goal; to form the finest rock n’ roll band that would make one raise their pinky and yell (whilst sipping a cup of Earl Grey).
Many years later (and in Finland for mysterious reasons), they formed The Spiffing Squires; a band that combines the humour of Tenacious D with British charm, but infused with the theatrics and harmonies of Queen. The band uses social-political satire to raise issues ranging from the manosphere, to immigrants coming to Finland to (supposedly ) take advantage of Kela benefits. Despite the nature of the topics, humour is the priority for the band.
Love them or hate them, The Spiffing Squires are definitely a fun live act.

2. Balkan Maggarac
The music of Balkan Maggarac is a colorful, international cocktail with English, Finnish, Russian, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Spanish, and French lyrics. The band’s name comes from the word ”Maggarac,” meaning ”Donkey” in Balkan languages, symbolizing the unyielding and resilient spirit that overcomes life’s challenges with determination and grit.
Each band member hails from a different cultural background, infusing their unique heritage into the music, creating a truly global sound.
Their performances are an invitation to celebrate togetherness, have fun, and experience the pure happiness that music brings.

The Golden Nuggets are Helsinki’s most eclectic collision of sound. Four international friends who turned basement experiments into a genre-defying force: blending alternative, funk, hip-hop, rock, and world music. Armed with guitar, bass, drums, synths, and three dynamic vocalists, they craft something genuinely hard to pin down and impossible to ignore.
Finalists at Emergenza Festival, performers/organizers at Sompafest, Inspiral Celebration and veterans of Helsinki’s best live stages: On the Rocks, Bar Loose, and beyond-the band has built a devoted local following on pure musical curiosity. Fabulastik is a hip hop DJ, specialized in boom bap and scratching, but also functions with funk, soul, and other genres. Besides being a dj he also produces, makes beats, raps and plays instruments. He has been making music for 20 years with passion.
